Family Counseling
Room for every voice. Support for your family.
Families can love each other deeply and still struggle to understand one another. Family counseling offers space to explore challenges, improve communication, and work toward healthier ways of relating.
Grief & Shared Loss
Make room for the different ways family members experience loss. Explore how to support one another while honoring individual needs and emotions.
Communication & Conflict
Look at recurring disagreements, family roles, and expectations. Practice expressing needs, listening, and setting boundaries with greater understanding.
Parenting & Life Changes
Navigate changing responsibilities, developmental stages, and transitions. Explore approaches that support connection and clearer expectations at home.
Blended Family Relationships
Talk through new roles, routines, and relationships. Work toward understanding each person’s experience and creating shared expectations as a family.
What to Expect
Your counselor will begin by learning about your family, what has been difficult, and what you would like to be different. Together, you will discuss who should participate and identify goals that fit your situation.
Understand the Family Patterns
Sessions may include guided conversations, exploring how family members affect one another, and practicing communication or problem-solving skills. The focus is on understanding patterns and making room for constructive change.
Bring the Work Home
Your counselor may suggest ways to practice new skills between sessions, such as clearer boundaries, listening exercises, or shared routines. You can discuss what works and adjust your goals as needs change.
Faith & Your Family
Our faith in Jesus inspires us to care for every family with compassion and respect. Your family’s beliefs and preferences matter. Faith can be included when you want it to be, with room for different experiences and questions.
Before Your First Visit
Ask who should attend, how confidentiality works in family sessions, and what to expect with scheduling and fees. Our team includes clinicians trained in Marriage and Family Therapy.
